On the second floor of a building in Higashi-Ueno, Pooches’Bakery is a dog café where you can spend a special moment with your companion. The dog menu includes mini cakes and soup. The beautifully presented meals are so popular that dogs finish them in no time once their bowls are set down.
The calm interior has an atmosphere reminiscent of the early Showa era, with charming decorations and photo booths arranged for the season and special occasions. Dogs can pose for keepsake photos in carefully made kimonos, and occasions such as Hinamatsuri offer another reason to visit.
The building is accessible by elevator, and takeaway drinks from the café on the floor below can be brought in. Dogs must wear a manners belt or manners pants inside, so be sure to bring one.
The café is open only on Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons, from 13:00 to 17:00. Payment options include QR code services such as PayPay and Rakuten Pay.
